# Round Chest: The Architecture for This Frame

## Layer 1: The Frame

The Round chest responds to incline mechanics with joint-appropriate load management.

The Round at 230-275 lbs requires archetype-specific chest mechanics. The Endomorph structure creates specific lever lengths and recruitment patterns that determine which movements produce mechanical tension and which produce compensation.

## Layer 2: The Anatomy

The endomorphic pec at this weight responds to barbell incline pressing at loads appropriate for the frame. Equipment safety matters — verify bench ratings. Machine incline press is an appropriate substitution when barbell mechanics produce joint discomfort at this body weight.

## Layer 3: The Protocol

Primary: Barbell incline press or machine incline press 3 to 4 sets of 8 to 10 reps. Secondary: Machine chest press 3 sets of 10 to 12 reps. Tertiary: Cable crossover 3 sets of 12 reps. Frequency: twice weekly.

Volume landmarks: maintenance at 8 to 10 weekly sets. Growth threshold at 12 sets. Specialization at 16 to 20 sets. Add load only when previous weight executes with full range and zero form breakdown.

## Layer 4: The Psychology

The Round chest responds to incline mechanics at loads the equipment safely supports. Machine substitutions are appropriate and productive — not regressions.

Identity Mirror: What story are you telling yourself about why this muscle group has not responded?

Action Trigger: When exactly is your next chest session, and what load will you use on the primary movement?

## Layer 5: The Exit

The Round chest trained through incline mechanics for 12 weeks produces the upper pec development and chest shape the cut protocol is revealing.

The Round frame trained with archetype-specific chest mechanics for 12 consecutive weeks produces structural development that generic programming cannot deliver.
