Who should Growth Hacker Marketing: A Primer on the Future of PR, Marketing, and Advertising ? Growth hacker marketing, is a must read for those of us, who want to understand how to build solid brands online, whether its a personal brand or business brand. If you want to get started advertising, I am a huge fan of running ads, but gamification, and some of the other methods in this book, show you just how easy it is to build a tribe about your product. Growth hacker marketing breaks down what it takes to be successful in today’s market The world of marketing changes daily, one social media platform dies, and another is born, a new buzzwords comes along, and everyone abuses it. But marketing, can simply be viewed as the following question: What can I say about my brand or product to get more customers? Two things to understand about growth hacker marketing: Growth hacker marketing can be done on a shoe string budget Your launch doesn’t have to be perfect, because it can be perfected over time. Plenty of people rush buy the new Iphone when they know it will have bugs. Don’t waste time on social media, if you’re not engaging your audience You have to blog, create content, and talk to your audience. Someone on the fence about your product will read reviews, and see what is being said on your page before buying. Questions to ask yourself about your growth hacker marketing endeavor Is your product or service worth sharing? is it easy to explain discuss and share your product with others? Why should people feel compelled to share your product? What does my client retention plan look like? Last but not least growth hacking makes it easy to get your product in the hands of the masses with little to minimum cash having to be spent. Below you will find links to posts, of other books by Ryan Holiday that I have reviewed. Other books he’s wrote, that I own and have reviewed. The Obstacle Is the Way: The Timeless Art of Turning Trials into Triumph Ego Is the Enemy The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living Conspiracy: Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker, and the Anatomy of Intrigue Trust Me, I’m Lying: Confessions of a Media Manipulator Perennial Seller: The Art of Making and Marketing Work that Lasts Stillness is Key What books do I recommend from the list above? The Obstacle is the way is a must read, and you can read my review for it here. It is probably his second most complete work in my opinion. Ego is the enemy is a good read, but I would say skip it, its not really in my top 3 of his works. Conspiracy is a complete skip, in my book. The Daily Stoic is definitely a nice compilation, of daily inspiration, Trust me, I’m lying, is a must read for those, who still believe in a world of organic traffic, and can’t decipher between pr stunts, and real life. With the Perennial Seller, I would recommend  Seth Godin’s work over this book, but its highlights the importance of creating meaningful long lasting work. The Same can be said about Growth Hacker As well, there are other authors I would recommend. Summary The Obstacle is the way, is a must read. Ego Is The Enemy, skip. Conspiracy, skip. Trust me, I’m Lying, is something that should be read. Daily stoic, is an absolute must have. The Perennial Seller, is an okay read I would recommend for people who mindlessly jump from project to project. The Growth Hacker, has beneficial information over it, I would recommend over or in addition to the perennial seller.
